WINTER ESSENTIALS

REPORTING LIVE:
RIF SEA

Seattle's summer is officially over! Frequent showers and an abundance of clouds now mask the Emerald City from the blue skies overhead. So, the morning dew has inspired some additions to Fall 08/09's Outerwear references.

Cornbread's pick:

Arc'Teryx Hooded Gamma:
Great lightweight PolarTec PowerSheild Softshell. It's a great liner to any shell, but functions just as well by itself. It's a classic body that has been a winter favorite for both the winter sport extremists and the city slickin cool kids for a number of years.

The North Face Summit Series Apex Valkyrie:
This is by far, the best thing TNF has released in quite some time. They've destroyed the Steep Tech collection since it's re-introduction in '00. And the only salvageable piece from the re-introduction of the Trans Antarctica collection was the Water-Tight Duffle. Fuck the Trans Denali, Fuck the Trans Hoody.

Helly Hansen Verglas Softshell:
A personal favorite! Aside from the basic pit-vents, taped zippers, and the laser cut ventilation for your stank ass hang-over breath, the jacket just looks dope!

Bergans of Norway Isogaisa:
Don't sleep on Bergans! If i trust anyone with cold weather protection, it's the Scandinavians. The latest construction techniques, the most advanced textiles and always cleans style-lines. But I have no idea where to cop this shit in the States, so happy hunting!
