Happy Turkey Day

First and foremost, we would like to wish everyone a Happy Turkey Day.  Just as a reminder, we are CLOSED today and we will resume regular business hours tomorrow.

It's crazy to think that it's already Thanksgiving and we are STILL enjoying 70 degree weather with clear skies, these are definitely some of the true perks of living in Southern California.

OG Robert stopped by the shop and got a pair of Penny 2's thanks to the very kind support and giving back from the RIF community.  We ALWAYS accept donations of shoes or clothing to give out to those in need.

A couple of P.E.'s came into the shop this week, it's only a matter of time before they're all gone.

Another gem that came into the shop that you probably haven't seen as of late, are these Nike SB Supreme Bruin Lows.

Our TEAM has been hard at work to make sure ALL your online orders are successfully packaged and shipped the same day you place your order.

Danny is seen here taking a well-deserved break during the after hours at RIF.

Jackie Jin's sneaker shot of the day: AJ 5 Tokyo

What are your thoughts on this latest  Nike Doernbecher release?
Here's a closer look at the Nike Foamposite One DB.

Here's another look at the upper.

The sole features a gradient from black on the outer portion to a bright red on the inner side.

The insole features the name of the young man who designed this particular shoe: Elijah Diggins.

In case you haven't seen our Tokyo Town Rat lately, it's been hiding at RIF.

Stay tuned until the weekend, we hope you all have a blessed Holiday.

Take Your Pick

Another week has come and gone as we approach the end of the month of November.  The sales floor is looking well-stocked and very well organized as the upcoming Holiday season is about to begin.

Take your pick in the Foamposite / Nike basketball section.

We have been preparing all year for this Holiday season and we hope everyone will be able to find every shoe they are looking for whether it be for you OR as a gift for someone else.

Be sure to stop by and get some of these Little Tokyo stickers before they are all GONE.

In case you didn't know, RIF DOS is the new home to ALL of our Vans shoes on consignment, so be sure to stop by and check out the shop.  This year, we are proud not only to announce the RIF 7 year anniversary, but it is also RIF DOS's 1 year anniversary on Black Friday.

The glass case at RIF DOS is always the home of plenty of rare and sought after Supreme Tees.

We currently have limited sizes available in the RIF L/S Jersey, so be sure to stay up on our Instagram as we will be announcing a restock of these as well as the release of more pieces for our F/W '13 collection.

Cris is always seen sporting the Jersey at work.

Something that we don't see everyday on 2nd street is a man dressed in a Tiger costume, so I had to see what they were talking about.

Green Peace, this group of 3 individuals was roaming the streets to increase awareness about deforestation and the negative affects it has on Bengal Tigers.

Meanwhile, Manny was holding down the shoe store and making sure everything was running smoothly.

On November 29th, everyone be sure to make it out to Club Nokia for Dom Kennedy's show with Ty Dolla Sign.

S/O to the homie LIO from San Diego for stopping by to cop some shoes.

S/O to Franalations for bringing in some HEAT this week.

Franalations was rocking the What the LeBron 10's

Manwell was wearing his Flyknit Racers

Sneaker Galactus rocking the LeBron 7 "Cavs Fanatic"

Finally, take a look at a few of the newly released LeBron 11 colorways.
First up we have the Forging Iron

Overall, these shoes are very nicely assembled.

Are these the BEST LeBron 11 colorway so far?

Another recently released colorway is the LeBron 11 Gamma Blue.

LeBron 11 Miami Nights are another very nice colorway.

This LeBron 11 is my personal favorite so far.

Finally, here's a shot of another LeBron 11 set to release later this year.

Notice anything off about these DB 4's? Unfortunately, they are FAKE.
Some things to look for: The darkness of the arrows, the size of the superman logo, the stitching across the entire shoe, and the inner lining.

Take a look at these Black Cement 3's, again another shoe that can appear to be real but is actually a FAKE.  Things to look for on this shoe include: The leather on the upper being inconsistent in the texture, the color of the red eyelets being too dark, the small perforations on the gray leather are too small, and the shape/feel of the tongue being too stiff.

Here's a look at the heel tabs.

Finally, a closer look at the tag on the tongue of the shoe, notice the red outline around the tag.

Stay tuned until next time, have a blessed weekend.

Turnt x Burnt Tour Recap

This past Saturday night turned out to be quite an eventful one as a few members of the RIF crew were able to enjoy the A$AP MOB concert at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood.  This was their one and only Los Angeles event for their Turnt x Burnt tour.  In addition to the Mob, we also enjoyed watching Overdoz, Aston Matthews, and Joey Fatts perform as well.

On our way to the concert, decided to take a quick picture of the infamous Hollywood and Vine intersection.

"Rock Your Soul"

This was a preview of the venue BEFORE it got packed, the theatre looked a lot smaller when it was empty.

The stage before the Turn Up started...

Overdoz opened up the night with a great energy to their set, S/O to the homie JOON for putting on a good show.

Next up was LBC natives Aston Matthews and Joey Fatts.

Vince Staples was another homie who performed, he had a good performance as well.

This is what the A$AP stage looked like before they went on.

Ferg took the stage first, and he was greeted by a flurry of iPhone cameras flashing in his direction.

Ferg is seen here having a few words with the crowd before starting the performance.

Mid-performance, Trap Lords Ferg & Marty were seen with their SadBoyz prayer hands.

A$AP Nast came out to perform a few songs too.

After a few guest appearences, Ferg took over the stage once again before the grand finale.

The homie ScHoolBoy Q was in the building to assist Ferg in performing the Work Remix.

Overall, the concert proved to be the BEST show I've personally seen all year.  It was a pleasure to meet everyone there, and the RIF team would like to personally thank EVERYONE for making this night possible.  Goodluck to all the artists and everyone else involved with the Turnt x Burnt tour as they finish out the rest of the tour dates.

Stay tuned folks, have a blessed week.
