ISS SUMMIT
The ISS sneakerheads came together today for a little summit going around all the shops in Los Angeles. They went from Melrose, Fairfax, to La Brea and lastly all the way to East 2nd St in Downtown Los Angeles, Little Tokyo.
I will have to make sure I'm at the next summit!

FOUNDNATION FROM JAPAN
Foundnation, bboy crew from Japan, is in town for Freestylesession 11 which is being held in Santa Monica this Saturday and Sunday. Bboy crews from all over the world come down once a year for this event, to battle with other crews to win the grand prize of $25,000.00!
Foundnation came in looking for some fresh kicks to break in, these cats were mad energetic and nice, we wish them LUCK for this weekends battle.
We were able to get a short clip of them, but we'll post that in a bit.
Also one of the jabbawockeez was in the building! jk haha

RALPH l REMIX CONCERT IN LITTLE TOKYO 2MORROW
Tomorrow there will be a little concert in Little Tokyo right around the corner from RIF. There will be live performances, raffles, giveaways, and RALPH will be there.
He came by the shop today to remind us to roll tomorrow. Also he wanted to show off his recent t-shirt pickup. He said no more headshots, got his @ss anyways haha.

Karl Kani is the God-father of urban street wear and he is partially responsible for what "street wear" is today.
Well Karl Kani stopped by the shop to copp some kicks and chat it up for a bit. Genuinely nice and intelligent dood. He has more than 3 shops in Japan and is on the righteous path of brand revival.

Today I was OFF! Went down to Buffalo Exchange in the city of Long Beach. Great place to sell your clothing/shoes/accessories/etc, I believe they offer you half of whatever they charge in the store..i think. If you look hard enough, sometimes you'll come across some steals and deals here and there or you might just spot a FAKE pair of shoes!

Every year there is a big parade in Little Tokyo Downtown La, called the "Nisei Parade". Good thing I didn't work that day, because last year was just too hectic for me. Mink and Jb were honored to be present at this memorable event.

NISEI WEEK l BMX SHOW l OFF TODAY
Today we headed to ArchRival to check out the BMX show they put together in their store. The whole store was filled with rare and expensive bmx bikes. We got there mad early! 
Did I mention RED BULL and Sapporo sponsored the whole thing, so you were either drunk or overdosing on sugar. I had like 5 redbulls!
Look who pops out of no where, the infamous "FONEY/RIPSET" family, my fam!.
Got a little hungry so we headed to the booths that were on San Pedro St, and came across some bomb teriyaki chicken.
I spotted Vincent playing with a tekdek, I use to jack these things @ Target and slang em back in middleschool.
I can't read to well, thats why I was never a boyscout.
Headed back and swung by RIF since it was on the way.
Bumped into d.sizzle out of no where.
then bumped into Rob, Art Director for Motion Theory(google it), same cats who made the kobe bryant commercial with the jackass dudes. 
also ran into Goku, actually he said he wasn't Goku, whatever its one of those anime people. You can only see these anime fanatics in Little Tokyo, quite weird if you ask me.
its 3:00 and it looks like Mink and Jb just opened the store. Just kidding guys!

AFTER WORK, HEADED TO THE "ARTWALK"
After work, me, ed, and DJ walked all the way to the "Art Walk" towards 5th and main street. "Art Walk" is held every 2nd Thursday of the month in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, and all these cats come out to look @ art, watch live reggae, look at homeless cats, smell piss, hit up the shops that stay open late,basically all that good stuff. 
Before we checked out all the art, we headed to Blends located on 4th street, they were having a party for the release of the NSW Collection and (Un)Natural Selection Installation. I wasn't really down, but when DJ said FREE food and FREE drinks then I'm there.
This was the only thing keeping me in there, thank you FAN!
Also headed to Comme De Garcones Guerilla store, its crazy. They got like 10 cats working there, and its super small.

headed out to check out some art and whatevers going on in the streets of downtown.
This was probably the coolest thing i saw, it had like 10 binocular ends that you look through and it shows you who you think is the 3 coolest people you know. Ed was first to check and he said " o shit"
Then it was D's turn, and he said "o wow"
Then I was like wut? and i looked too and I saw DJ and Ed with Santa Clause. I used my "cool" camera to take a picture of this rare image, and it was mad clear! All three of us saw this through the binoculars!!!
Afterwards we headed to Upperplayground/Mr.Cartoon/Estevan Oriol located on 6th street. This was when we knew we were getting closer to the heart of skid row.
Lastly, headed to the "spot" to get DJ his fake id. The dude who hooks it up doesn't want to show his face. but!
I snapped a picture anways! while he was throwing me a gatorade over the bullet proof walls.
If you find anybody else with a name this fcked up, let me know HAHA. Owell DJ was happy with his id. Now he is known as " A A A A A Adedeleadeseye". His mom was probably stuttering to the nurse when she named him.

RIF LA is voted "Best Sneaker Store" in Los Angeles for 2008, well Downtown to be specific HAHA. RIF LA opened on Decemeber 9th, 2008, so its been open for about a YEAR and 8 months now. We would like to thank all of our supporters all around the world, all the cats that come to us FIRST, before anyone else to sell their shoes, and we are thankful for all the GREAT people we have met through RIF LA. We will continue to try to be the best sneaker store in Los Angeles, or even try to be ONE of the best sneaker stores in the WORLD!
We stock some of the rarest shoes, from jordans to dunks, from runners to air forces, and vans to pumas. At the same time we try to price it as reasonable as possible, allowing us to have "competitive" prices against other consignment shops.

We met Danny a couple months ago in the store and he sold us pretty much all our dope size 13 sbs and couple jays (he gets everything for FREE). This dude literally knows everybody!, from NY to LA. So after being 6 hours late, finally got to Element in Hollywood where Sneaker Pimps was being held. The venue was too small, wasn't packed as last year and there was no dope sneakers, except whatever small spaced we filled. I probably brought 100 pairs to display but since I was 6 hours late, they said all the spots were filled! filled with bullsh!t, so they gave us a little spot right outside, but we were only able to fit like 25 pairs.
I gotta say the 2nd Sneaker Pimps that was held back in 04' right next to echo park was the sh!t. HANDS DOWN!

DJ Mike "E", aka dj PINOY, hit me up on the ichat to discuss some business. I told DJ Mike "E" and his cousin DJ ZEB to go make a blog so they can get their name out there and start networking! I told them I didn't know anyone personally who runs a weekly clubbing event and blogs about it! Couple minutes later, they came up with MIKEANDZEB.

-They were a 2006 sample that got scrapped because if would cost Nike too much to produce it. This shoe was based on a character from a OLD Spanish book, google that sh!t! The whole shoe is made of top quality materials, which are only found at the Feng Tay warehouse next to my grandmas village.
